Memorial service for Carol Conklin set for Thursday

A memorial service for Carol A. Conklin of Ladysmith, has been scheduled for 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Jarocki-Skinner Funeral Home, 637 N. Main St., Rice Lake.

Conklin, who had been a candidate for Rusk County Circuit Court Judge and also operated a private law practice in the city, died suddenly from an aneurysm last Wednesday.

Danielle Schultz, Conklin's daughter, said her mother was rushed to the hospital in Barron and then airlifted for medical care in Rochester.
