Stanley Webster Stanley E. Webster, 80 of Hannibal, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at home under the care of Hope Hospice.
He was born Stanley Eugene Webster to the late Ernest and Sylvia (Oats) Webster on Dec. 25, 1929, in Woodman, Wis. Called “Hezzie” by his family, he moved to the Donald area when he was seven.
He married Betty Morris on May 9, 1953, at the Hannibal Presbyterian Church.
Stanley served his country in the Army receiving the rank of Sergeant during the Korean Conflict.
Stanley was a farmer for most of his life. He also had a bull dozing business, logged and raised cattle. Stanley enjoyed building, the outdoors and especially loved his grandkids.
He is survived by his children Glen Webster of Hannibal, Michael (Patty) Webster of Gilman, Sheryl (Wayne) Raether of Gilman, Laurel (Tony) Zimmer of Ladysmith and Albert (Doreen) Webster of Gilman; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters Roger (Valerie) Webster of Sheldon, Leland (Sylvia) Webster of Gilman, Rosella (Val) Mravik of South Milwaukee, Ivan (Effie) Webster, Marvin (Theresa) Webster, Joan (Glen) Morris and Gordon (Deb) Webster all of Gilman and Mary (Joe) Thorgerson of Jump River.
He is preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2007; his parents and his brother Donald.
Funeral services for Stanley will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Hannibal.
Rev. Brad Carloss will officiate. Burial will follow at the Donald Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Gilman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the Church.
