State will seek attempted homicide charge in shooting incident The suspect accused of shooting his 42-year-old estranged wife in the face Monday night and leading law enforcement on a one-hour manhunt will likely be charged by the state with attempted first degree intentional homicide.
Gregory E. D’Amico, 42, appeared at a bond hearing in Rusk County Circuit Court the day after the incident, when the charge the state will likely seek was formally read into the record. He faces a maximum penalty not to exceed 60 years in prison.
Dressed in orange prison clothing and sandals, D’Amico did not speak.
Bond was set at $500,000.
