Breaking News: Governor appoints new Rusk County D.A. Governor Jim Doyle announced today the appointment of Mark Kellaher as Rusk County District Attorney. Kellaher will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Kathleen Pakes. He will begin serving in February.
"Mark Kellaher has a strong work ethic and will be a committed public servant, Governor Doyle said. His dedication to justice will make him an excellent prosecutor.
I am honored to be appointed as the Rusk County District Attorney, Kellaher said. I look forward to getting to work serving the citizens of Rusk County.
Mark Kellaher received his undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He was awarded a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, before working for the Central Intelligence Agency. Kellaher is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and currently operates a private law practice in New Richmond.
