Bank robbery suspects now face federal charges Luke Klink Two suspects involved in the armed robbery of an Exeland Bank now face federal charges in connection with the Oct. 30 incident.

R. Willard, 19, of Phillips are charged with armed bank robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, in a federal grand jury indictment returned in Madison last Thursday, Jan. 7. The indictment alleges that the two men robbed the Dairyland State Bank in Exeland. The indictment also alleges that they brandished a loaded .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol during the robbery.
Charges filed against both in Sawyer County Circuit Court were dropped following the federal indictment.
