Lloyd Baribeau

Lloyd Baribeau, 92, of Exeland, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the Rusk County Nursing Home of natural causes.

Lloyd was born Feb. 1, 1917, in Exeland to Eli and Elizabeth Baribeau. He was born and raised in the Exeland area of Sawyer County. He married Marian Grant in Iola, Wis., on June 5, 1941.

Lloyd farmed in Sawyer County. He worked as a janitor in the Exeland Elementary School. He also worked for many years as a bus driver for Bruce and Exeland schools.

He enjoyed traveling the country. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Exeland.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Marian brother Floyd (Louise) Baribeau of Peoria, Ariz., and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eli and Elizabeth; his son Richard Baribeau; his daughter Barbara Baribeau; his brother Lester Baribeau; and his sister Florence Farnesworth.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Rusk County Hospital Chapel with Mark Bartlett officiating. Burial was at Windfall Lake Cemetery. The Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
