Two vehicle accident occurs near Ladysmith High School

Both lanes of U.S. 8 in front of Ladysmith High School were partially blocked following a two-vehicle accident that occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Law enforcement officers from the Wisconsin State Patrol and Rusk County Sheriff’s Department quickly responded and directed traffic through the crash scene.

The road was cleared within a half hour. Details of how the accident occurred were not immediately available from the state patrol.

A highway department patrol truck also arrived to treat the roadway.
