Stephen Polak

Stephen Ronald Polak 68, of Chicago, died on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.

Steve was the loving son of the late Boniface and Ida Mae (Simmonson) Polak of Conrath. He was born Oct 26,1941.

Steve married Virginia Agnes Joyce June 15, 1963, and retired from Central Steel & Wire Company after 35 plus years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was Honorably discharged Sept. 1962. Steve is survived by his dearly-beloved wife Virginia. He was the loving father of Susan Szumanski, Frank (Pattie), Raymond (Amanda), Richard, and April Polak. He was the cherished grandfather of Mark, Craig (Rachel), Hannah, Nichole, Alanna, Liam, Taylor, Kelsey, Hayley; and loving brother of Philip (Karin), James (Linda), Mary (Don) Nussberger, Bonnie (Bob) Rosolowski, Joseph and John Polak. He had many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the National M.S. Foundation or M.S. Society. A private cremation Service was held in Chicago.
