Farmers market turns 20, still green and growing

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Farmers Market in Ladysmith is more than just green and growing.

Red ripe tomatoes. Golden yellow sweet corn. Delicious apples. Natural meats, Fresh baked bread. Home made cookies. Fair trade coffee. Local art. Good times. A bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetable and so more can be found on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the market.

“We love coming here,” said Conrath resident Sheila Rudack, really emphasizing the word “love.” “We love the atmosphere. We love the people. We love the customers.”

ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT — And Party every day! That was the mantra of thousands of hard rock and heavy metal music fans last weekend at the fourth annual Rock Rally, just south of Glen Flora. The tribute band Kiss Army rocked the stage with Kiss classics from “Calling Doctor Love” and “Rock and Roll All Night.”

Northwoods Rock Rally will feature Ratt, Fuel

Let’s get the party started with the fourth annual Northwoods Rock Rally.

The three day music festival featuring multiple stages and numerous bands will be held Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 19-21 in Glen Flora. Located on more than 140 acres of land, the site two miles south of the Village of Glen Flora on County B offers plenty of space to park, camp, rock and party responsibly.

The Thursday line-up includes Less Drama and Fully Loadid
