Sawyer County Sheriff's Office deputies, assisted by the Sawyer County SWAT Team and Wisconsin State Patrol, executed a search warrant at about 1:36 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 at a residence on Klinger Road in the town of Wiergor in Sawyer County.
The search warrant was obtained after a 52-year-old man identified as John Matthew Beck who lives at the residence, posted pictures of two marijuana plants and posts about wanting to have a physical altercation with a Sawyer County deputy on Facebook.
As a result of the search warrant, Beck was taken into custody on suspicion of felony manufacture of THC, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor unlawful use of computerized communication systems.
A previous search warrant was executed on the same residence on Sept. 14, 2018.
During the execution of that search warrant, 13 marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia were located and seized from the residence.
As a result of the Sept. 14 search warrant Beck was taken into custody on that day on suspicion of felony manufacturing of THC and misdemeanor
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Beck was subsequently released on a $5,000 signature bond for the Sept. 14 charges.
