The Sheldon Community Fair will take place this weekend, on June 8 and 9, with activities, fun and events happening all weekend long. The food and beer stands will be open all day on Saturday and Sunday.


On Saturday there will be a 4H Pancake Breakfast served at the fairgrounds.

A baseball tournament will begin at 8 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

A mudbog will take place on Saturday with the time not yet confirmed as of the printing of the paper.


A chicken dinner will be served beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The Main Street Parade will begin at noon and finish at the fairgrounds.

Ted East will be doing chainsaw carvings throughout the day with the carvings being raffled off on Sunday.

Softball and “Kidz Zone” games will be played throughout the day.

Lawn mower races will take place on Sunday with the time not yet confirmed as of the printing of the paper.

The sixth annual wine tasting contest of homemade wines will take place between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday in the depot.
