Clarissa Hanson

Clarissa (Chris) Hanson born on Dec. 3, 1948, and went to Heaven on Thursday, July 4, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce, and her daughters, Lea (Bob) Balczewski of Exeland, Julie (Scott) Tishacek of Eau Claire and Allison Hanson of Ladysmith. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Nicole (Andy) Kragness of Onalaska, Morgan Sports of Ladysmith and Riley Godfrey of Ladysmith and her sister, Jill Preston of Sun Prairie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archibald Dean and Verda Callaway; her sisters, Sherry LeHew and Darlene DeWitt and her brother, Donald Callaway.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Monday, July 8, and the funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Both will be held at the First Church of Christ in Ladysmith.

Clarissa A. “Chris” Hanson, 70, of Ladysmith went to Heaven on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Marshfield Medical Center, in Eau Claire.

Clarissa was born on Dec. 3, 1948, to Archibald Dean and Verda (Matthews) Callaway.

She loved lighthouses, her flower gardens, quilting and waterfalls. But above everything, she loved her family. She loved to laugh and enjoyed life to its fullest. Laughter was a huge part of her life. Everyone knew the sound of her laugh!

She is survived by her husband, Bruce and her daughters, Lea (Bob) Balczewski of Exeland, Julie (Scott) Tishacek of Eau Claire and Allison Hanson of Ladysmith; her granddaughters, Nicole (Andy) Kragness of Onalaska, Morgan Sports of Ladysmith and Riley Godfrey of Ladysmith and her sister, Jill (Arden) Preston of Sun Prairie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Sherry LeHew and Darlene DeWitt and her brother, Donald Callaway.

Visitation was on Monday, July 8, and the funeral on Tuesday July 9 at First Church of Christ with Brian Chitwood officiating.

Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
