Betty Peterson passed away at age 90, in Medford, Ore., on Thursday, July 18, 2019.
Betty was born on Aug. 18, 1928, in Ladysmith, to Hugh and Lillian Redmond.
"The Redmond Girls," Betty along with sisters, Doris, Marvel and Beverly, are now together in Heaven doing the Jitterbug at the "BuzzBowl" and having fun.
Joining her in Heaven is her wonderful, loving daughter Trudee Chris Peterson Lynch, whom she missed every day. Also preceding her in death is her ex-husband and children's father, Dale Peterson and son-in-law, Kris Wallace.
Betty was a wonderful sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was also crowned Miss Ladysmith at the Water Carnival in 1946 due to wearing high heeled shoes the family was told.
Betty loved to bowl, crochet, play bingo and dance. She taught everyone that "Life is an adventure, full of challenges but never give up. There is always a way to make things happen."
Nicknames along the way include, "Betts, Betty Boop, Mamma P, The Eagle and Granny."
She was loved.
Betty is survived by her son, D'Royce (Sue) Peterson; her daughters, Vicki Peterson and Jill (Michael) Ashcraft and son-in-law, Mike (Jill) Lynch. G
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Julee (Thomas) Carreon, Jennifer (Mark) Antony, Jaimi (Jacob) Langley, Mikey (Nicole) Lynch, Rachel (Tony) Thomas, Wesley (Knieya) Peterson, Molly (Alex) Cross and Amanda Ashcraft and 15 great-grandchildren.
