Richard Franklin Turner, 64, of Ladysmith, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019.
Richard was born on Oct. 3, 1954, in Oakland, Calif. He married his wife, Peggy, on Jan. 3, 1977, in Chicago, Ill. They moved to Wisconsin in April 1985 to raise their children.
Richard was a graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. He retired a few years ago.
If you knew Richard you knew about his sense of humor. He was always telling jokes. He liked spending time with family and friends.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, music and various movies to pass the time.
Richard is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, Richard of Stanley, Melissa (Mike) of Fort Atkinson, Steven of Ladysmith and Shannda (Jeff) of Bruce. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; his father, Frank Turner of Rosemont, Ill.; his sisters, Nancy and Karon of Arkansas; and his stepsister, Christy of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy and David; his stepbrother, Dale; his mother; his stepmother; his sister-in-law, Margie; his twin grandsons and his stepsister, Laurie.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.
