Becky Jo (Anderson) Thompson, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
Becky was born on April 6, 1940, to William and Margret (Stoll) Anderson. She was the sixth of eight children. She attended Ladysmith School District. In August of 1960 she married the love of her life, Russell Thompson. Together they raised two children, Danna Holzmer of Radisson and David (Connie) Thompson of Ladysmith.
Becky worked most of her life...as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, and the former Sash and Door. She also was the town of Meadowbrook town clerk. She was active in many activities, but the one thing she was passionate about was her Class of 1958 class reunions, always making sure everyone was included.
She loved life and was devoted to her family, friends and her faith.
Becky is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Mike (Sarah) Granica of Exeland, Bryan Granica of Roseville, Minn. and Joe (Summer) Granica of Bruce, Charlee Thompson of Eau Claire, and Dalton Thompson of Ladysmith; along with her great-grandchildren; Kaydance, Gracie, Ryan and Henley Granica; her sister, Pat (Elmer) Balko of Medford and her brother, William (Catherine) Anderson of Superior.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Russell, Richard, Kenneth and Donald; her sister, Vivian Anderson; her half-brother, Robert Anderson; her half-sister, Dorthy Kroth and her son-in-law, Jerry Holzmer.
Services were held on Saturday, June 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ladysmith, with Pastor Craig Zandi officiating.
Burial was in Windfall Cemetery in Exeland.
Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
