The Rusk County Historical Society was presented with the opportunity to imagine and organize events to take the places of our June Dairy Days and Bluegrass Festival.

I appreciated the community’s support at this year’s Log Cabin Days, where we featured a flea market, music jam, food stand, along with the annual museum displays and demonstrations. Many thanks to the vendors who took part in our flea market and to the many musicians who sang, strummed and learned new songs on the fly.  Our music jam showcased a bevy of our special local talent, and I especially appreciated those who filled in when one of our musicians had to leave due to family emergency.

Rusk County is a vibrant place filled with good people who are always ready to lend a hand.  Log Cabin Days offered all of us a fine reminder of why we are so proud to call these northwoods home. See you next year.
