Strong returning class to lead Chieftains

The Lake Holcombe boy’s basketball team has plenty to be excited about this season as they return several starters from a season ago for head coach Joy Webster. Webster will be assisted by Brandon Crank and Tim Sime as they look for strong leadership from seniors Kaden Kinney, Josh Jones, Jarred Jiskra and Tyler Dixon this season on the court.

The Chieftain’s who have a run and gun style of play will not only look to their seniors, but Kaden Crank and Brock Flater who also return for their junior seasons to help lead them to a chance to compete for a conference title against the likes of Birchwood and New Auburn.  “We hope to improve this season on defense, although we scored a lot this last season, we need to improve on the defense end on the court this year,” stated coach Webster.

Along with the four seniors, the Chieftains varsity roster will be rounded out by juniors, Will Kliegle, Flater, Crank and Riley Gingrus.

The Chieftains will open up at home after the break as they take on their rival to the south, the Cornell Chiefs Tuesday, Dec. 3 at home in double header action.
